If you request it to clean without those two things it will vacuum.

It's fairly easy to set up. To begin, connect a cleaning pad to the bot and press down until you hear the click. The bot will then automatically detect the type of pad and will select the appropriate mode. If you're using a damp mopping pad the robot will make use of the back-and-forth motion of scrubbing.

The robot did a fantastic job of picking up dust, dirt and other particles on the tiled floors of a small apartment. It wasn't able to remove everything but it did an excellent job with large, sticky mess. It also did a very excellent job of taking out water spills, although it was unable to eliminate some more stubborn ones.

Its performance when it comes to navigation between rooms is less impressive. It's able to do a decent job of navigating the room, but it does not map your home the like other robots do. Its navigation is a bit clumsy; we found it to frequently bump into objects including our feet and cats.

The iRobot Braava Jet 240 makes an excellent option for a family who is busy and wants to keep their house looking good without putting a lot of time on it. It's not as flexible as our top picks, however it does a fantastic job of keeping the bathroom and kitchen looking great.

The iRobot Braava Jet m6 mopping robot is one of the most advanced robotic floor cleaners on the market. It can sweep, vacuum and mop floors on hard surfaces such as wood, laminate, tile and carpets. Currently, this feature is only available when you manually select mopping in the newest irobot App. It's a wonderful feature and is simple to use, once you've become comfortable with it. iRobot is working on a method to allow all of their robots to share maps and save time and effort in the near future.
