The app has a lot of useful automation options that allow you to schedule cleans and use the remote control to manually vacuum when necessary.

As with other robot vacuums that I've tried, the Q5 doesn't come with a built-in mopping function. This isn't a major issue since the cleaner is more effective on bare floors however it could be a deal-breaker when you have carpets.

The Q5 does a great job in tackling the mess I had on my floors, from grass and mud that had dried to sand from the beach, and general dust and household mess. The vacuum's exhaust filtering out dust and allergens could also capture every speck of mess.

The Q5 isn't as sleek as the iRobot Roomba i8+ but it's more durable, and has a bigger bin which can hold seven weeks' worth of garbage. The device also has self-emptying docks that automatically empty the dustbin after it finishes a clean, allowing for hands-free maintenance.
