Which Lightweight Double Pushchair Should You Buy?

Even though they are lightweight twin stroller, double pushchairs that are side-by-side do not guarantee safety. If your children are of the same age and stage, they may still argue over who sits in which seat. If they are at different heights, the tandem model could be ideal for them as it allows them to face eachother.

Tandem

While side-byside models are more suited to siblings with similar ages, tandem lightweight double strollers come with their own charms. Tandem strollers are light and lightweight. They generally have a more precise turning compared to side-byside models. However, they can be more difficult to navigate on uneven surfaces and curbs. They can also be slower to accelerate and more heavy to move. This can put strain on your back.

Another option is a convertible double buggy which is initially a single and then you can add adapters to make it into a double buggy With carrycot. It can also have the option of a second seat, a carrycot or both in front. Or the children can share a seat. Some may have the option of including a buggyboard that can help an older child keep up with a younger brother or sister.
